This smoothie recipe is inspired by my best and oldest friend Melanie… To tell you the truth I was always kind of freaked out by the idea of green smoothies, and vegetables in smoothies in general, until Melanie made me one with spinach and frozen grapes during my last visit. Grapes have NO detected FODMAPs, and if you ask me, freezing them makes them an awesome refreshing addition to any smoothie.
Red grapes made this admittedly not the most appealing color…. green grapes would maybe have been a better choice… but what it lacks in looks it makes up for in personality!
Frozen Grape Green Smoothie
1 cup frozen grapes
1/2 cup baby spinach
Blend the ingredients together, adding cold water as necessary if you are having trouble blending (I added about 1/4 cup).
